The website includes a local preference control. You can accept optional reading preferences, reject them, or change the choice through “Cookie settings” in the footer. Rejecting optional preferences does not prevent reading, search or navigation. No analytics or advertising tags are included in this publication package.

Necessary preference record
After you choose, this website sets the first-party cookie pf_privacy_v1 to remember that choice for up to 180 days. It contains the preference version, whether optional reading preferences are allowed, and the choice time. It is not an advertising identifier. The browser sends this cookie to this website with matching requests. A reset or renewed choice starts a new period.
Optional: remember your reading position
Only after you enable this option, your browser may store pf_reading_v1 in localStorage. The record contains article paths, a reading-position fraction and timestamps for up to 30 articles. Entries expire after 180 days. This lets the same browser offer a “Continue reading” button when you return. The feature does not transmit those reading positions to the publisher or to a third-party service.
Choosing “Reject optional” or disabling reading preferences in settings removes this website’s saved reading-position record from the current browser. Deleting browser storage also removes it. Choices and saved positions do not synchronize across browsers or devices. Necessary hosting logs and email records are separate and are not erased by this control.
Administration, hosting and other software
WordPress administrator authentication and preferences are for the owner and authorized editors, not cardholders. See the WordPress cookies documentation. Blocking authentication cookies can prevent an editor from signing in.
Hosting and security technologies confirmed by the publisher: This website uses Hostinger hosting. Web requests pass through hosting and security infrastructure. Processing locations and service arrangements depend on the hosting configuration; the publication does not claim that every record is stored in the United States.
The built-in choice control manages only the optional reading-position feature described above. It is not a universal blocker for scripts installed by other plugins, a hosting dashboard or a tag manager. Before adding analytics, advertising tags or external embeds, the publisher must update these notices and implement and test any applicable controls for those services.
